The 4,900 square foot reinforced concrete shell of Winterholm. It contains ceiling slabs weighing up to 23 tons, none of which show any observable deflection (bending).

My name is Ron Dean. I am a retired research scientist, and I began this project with no engineering knowledge or experience. I built it using Working Stress Design: a conservative method with simple math, easily understood, needing no external tables or programs. Everything I learned is in my book.

The first time I actually understood what my concrete was doing, instead of just trusting folklore and YouTube.
